| Our software as a service (SaaS) digitalises the design of district heating and cooling networks (DHC) for energy utilities, engineering consultancies and municipalities, using innovative artificial intelligence algorithms to slash engineering time and cost and accelerate the energy transition. Our software puts together more than 20 person/year of research in the field. In terms of market potential, recent developments in climate policy as well as geopolitics have spurred interest in transition away from fossil fuels in heating. Globally the DHC market is expected to grow by $40billion in the next 5 years, while in Switzerland the heat supplied by DHC must grow 10x to meet the Energy Strategy 2050 targets. Our goal is for our SaaS (TESSA) to be the go-to B2B SaaS for energy utilities and engineering consultancies developing DHC projects. The total project investments for DHC vary greatly between 1million and >1billion CHF. In our P&D project, the contribution of TESSA was valued at 1% of the total project cost of 7million. The unique value proposition of TESSA is to allow DHC projects to be developed in less time, requiring less specialist knowledge, with little/no data collection, and producing more reliable results.
