Beyond legal requirements, the global trend towards natural capital accounting and nature risk management means companies are also beginning to recognise the strategic value of nature and biodiversity for value chain management, access to capital and market positioning. Still, companies lack access to timely and comprehensive data about biodiversity. Without high-quality data companies cannot measure the exact extent of their biodiversity impact and dependency, and therefore struggle to develop effective strategies to manage it. DNAir has developed a purpose-built air eDNA sampler capable of collecting high-quality air eDNA at scale. Instead of sending a team of ecological experts into the field, DNAir sensors continuously and reliably collect high-quality air eDNA, which after a standard laboratory extraction process is converted into granular biodiversity data.
